Gambling has ruined more than one sport and it looks as if the NFL is next.
 
Stuff like this is why I don't watch pro sports any more. I mean, I'll watch the playoffs but that's about it.

They totally screwed up baseball, for instance, and took the umpire right out of the game, for the most part.

I'd rather just watch youth sports, honestly.

Decades ago, there were articles that football and the NFL was the perfect sport for betting. And there are endless pools on College and NFL to bet on. It was part of the growing popularity of the sport. So today we have referees involved as the point spread is affected. However, football is a simple and brutal sport with endless increasing of rules.

If you don't think that will promote shady dealings then I don't know what to tell you.
