Stuff like this is why I don't watch pro sports any more. I mean, I'll watch the playoffs but that's about it.

They totally screwed up baseball, for instance, and took the umpire right out of the game, for the most part.

I'd rather just watch youth sports, honestly.

It was part of the growing popularity of the sport. So today we have referees involved as the point spread is affected. However, football is a simple and brutal sport with endless increasing of rules.
