“No income tax on overtime”…..Does such a policy excite Freedom Fighting Libertarians and the like? Are the Parties still “the same”?

Can we get a show of hands of the people that want to work overtime?
If you're willing to work 10hr. days. That's 10 hours of overtime for the week. What you'd save in taxes wouldn't even buy that splashless Clorox that's become so popular lately, even though the regular stuff is much cheaper, so maybe you could buy that.

I guess it depends where you work…10 hours, at time in a half can be a pretty penny, especially tax free.

I read recently that, the interest on our debt alone, increases that debt 1 trillion every 100 days.

It’s the ticking time bomb nobody is addressing and should be the #1 issue.

Private debt is even higher; it prints money faster then the Fed does, but obviously that is okay with the Right, due to , well, magical thinking. That is all Wall Street sells is debt, and they operate casinos for peddling it.

I suppose that every little bit helps, in a nation of poor people. I was always on salary, so I forgot about time and a half. Overtime for me paid nothing.

salary gets no OT.

If you are say, a welder, in my state the avg hourly pay is $30.00/hr....or at $57.600.00 per year....that's not poor. Add to that, time and half, that's another $21,600.00 per year.

That's certainly not poor.

It's weird you the United States is a nation of poor people.

In '74 I was in the welder's union, building Fruehauf liquid and bulk tank trailers, just for fun at $4.09/hr. That was damn good pay at that time. $30/hr. is about the same thing these days. In another 50 years it will have to be $190/hr. to be the same as my $4.09.

Am I the only one who's noticing a pattern here?
