North Korea fired off short-range missiles over the weekend after it denounced the U.S. for moving forward with joint military exercises with South Korea, Fox News has confirmed.

It’s likely the first launch of short-range missiles since October 2019.

None of the missiles fired were the new long-range ballistic missiles paraded on Oct. 10, the anniversary of the founding of North Korea’s communist party, officials told Fox News. The short-range missiles did not contain nuclear warheads. Pentagon officials who watch North Korea took note of the launch but were not alarmed.

During a background call with reporters, a senior administration official downplayed the seriousness of the tests of the short-range projectiles.

And nobody is alarmed because irritating them was the point.

This is SOP for North Korea - they will do or say or try anything to get and keep world attention for deals that benefit them economically any way possible to gain foreign currency. That country is dirt poor and badly hurting -- they do not want war as they act like a spoiled brat.

This kind of stunt dates back to 1953 when the Korean War ended (with a signed armistice but NOT an official peace treaty - they sill act like they're at war). This is nothing new for them - old hat as it were.

This annual, joint training exercise with US and SK has been going on for how many years....checking. Wow. A long time! "The base justification for these combined exercises are the ROK-US Mutual Defense Treaty and the fact that the Korean peninsula remains in a state of war due to the signing of an Armistice Agreement in 1953 and not a peace treaty."

So it sounds like every year they hold the exercises, NK yells out "Don't do it! We don't like your posturing!" Followed by SK's reply "Don't look in that case." lol

Makes me wish the US used a skywriting plane to say: U Mad Bro?
