Obama frustrated with lack of job growth

I am happy for that Dude is on a weight-reducing program.

I have family members that are small business and are non-union, they pay better than Union shops and provide better benefits. The one family member that voted for Obama realized that he was locked out of bidding on jobs from the stimulus money because he runs a non-union shop, he won't be voting for Obama again.

Unions were good back in the 30's, 40's and 50's, but now all I see is alot of fat at the top level and little at the bottom. I have one family member who is union and their company was in charge of wiring a military barrack, some union hacks went in at night and cut the wiring so short that they had to go back in a rewire the entire complex. My family member was furious, he had an idea who did this, but no proof. The only reason the Union hacks did this, was to extend the job. That's tax payer money that paid for that. Since then, I have lost all respect for unions and don't think that they are needed in this day and age.

Hasty generalization and extension of anecdotal evidence. Not worthy of further comment.

The Unions have abused Their Trust. It is past time for Them to go.

Like it or not, Unions or the threat of unions keep management in line.
40 hour work week, workplace safety, health and life insurance...would not be there if left to the generosity of management

You are confusing Union's with Government Responsibility. I can understand why it is so easy to do so, yet that does not excuse it.

Really it's not???? Does it make you feel all warm and fuzzy knowing that YOU paid to have a military barracks wired twice because a few union hacks wanted to extend the job?? Well then you pay for it, I don't want to. I have better things to do with my money.

Management would have us working for minimum wage for many more hours than forty a week if it could. To suggest that mgt "cares" for the welfare of its employees is oxymoronic.

The concept is value for value.

Your statement demonstrates the oxymoronic position you have taken. Mgt does not care about giving value for value, it cares about milking all the profit it can on the back of the worker.

Peddle your nonsense on another corner, bud.

Last TIME I checked? Companies go into business to MAKE a profit...NOT to EXIST to EMPLOY people for the Sake of it.

THAT is the Free market folks. Obama cannot stand this fact, nor much of our Liberal Statist Brothers/Sisters on these boards.

THUS They want Government in Complete Control of everything.

Know it, Learn it, Live It, LOVE it.

Hi, T. I am glad that we agree that companies go into business to make profit, not give value for value to workers, which was liability's contention. There is not the slightest doubt either that I pay taxes that exceed several times your annual income each year.

Until you can fashion a reasonable argument with me you will simply keep getting kicked in the face as I did repeatedly with The Rabbi until he backed off.

its sad when foolish people feel so highly of themselves. and how does your supposed income correlate to the validity of your post?

Really? Then WHY would an EMPLOYER *HIRE* you if they saw no merit in what you HAD TO OFFER?

Can you say Affirmative ACTION (Amoung other intrusive INCENTIVES)?

Sure I knew ya could. I will NOT speak for Liability but will tell you that he may speak for himself on this matter...

Well GOODIE for YOU...wanna Donut for YOUR contribution? And YOU seem to wanna PAY MORE for DEADBEATS...what sense does that make? On a HUMAN LEVEL? *I* Don't belive YOU and CALL YOU OUT as a PHONEY. NO Person in their right mind would be willing to give MORE in taxes for deadbeats. What is moronic is Your conception. You're better than that. Management cares about the Quality of It's product or service, unless It is on a Self Destruct course. There is No substitute for "Value For Value" Jake. I'll take a single dedicated worker over 10 clock watchers any day. There are always the Doers that carry the Parasites. Merritt Pay makes it harder on the parasites, as it should. You seem to have zero concept of the free market and it's competitiveness. What Union are You a member of?
Unlike Government, when private companies fail to provide a product or service well, their competition benefits. The company needs to insure It's place in the market, before those stocks are worth anything. The company's relationship with it's workers is just as important as it's relationship with it's market. That is how Value for Value applies Jake. Seeing as you hate capitalism so much, maybe you should quit your annuity, and distance yourself from profiting from stocks in any way. Try California Bonds maybe?
