Moron posted an article written two months before Sandy hit and then uses it as proof to start a thread that no disasters occurred while Obama was President
I don't negate Obama's administration have "SOME" bad weather i.e. Sandy and tornadoes...
BUT no one seems to care to acknowledge that Bush had the unfortunate worst hurricane SEASONS in history.
And if they were to acknowledge that maybe just maybe they would understand the economic destructiveness i.e. 400,000 jobs $2 trillion in damages all
had affect including reduced tax revenue. And so when the bitch about Bush tax cuts THEY also fail to recognize lower incomes!
YET in spite of the economic damages here are the facts:

Does this mean you admit your OP is a lie?
Sandy was not technically a hurricane at its NJ landfall, and if it were, it would have been a Category 1 storm.
As of the start of this hurricane season, the span will be 3,142 days since the last U.S. major hurricane landfall. The previous longest span is about 2½ years shorter!
Atlantic hurricane season begins Sunday: Will record streak without major hurricane landfall end?
This was written May 30,2014!
Take it up with the Washington POST...
It was a shocking turn of events. Hurricane Irene had given New York a good scare (and New England a thorough drubbing) in August 2011,
but the last time a major hurricane had hit the city was 1938. That storm killed 600 people, according to a New York Times report. But after decades of relative quiet, many New Yorkers doubted it would happen again. Its easy, in those canyons of concrete and brick, to imagine that nothing will change.
After all, Sandy wasnt even a technically a hurricane when it made landfall: It had been downgraded to a post-tropical cyclone.

TAKE IT UP WITH GRIST!!!
NOW once again you are NOT giving any credence to these MAJOR events that occurred during Bush administration!
WHY? Is it because you are basically ignorant or NOT paying attention!
Obama has been LUCKY! NO major hurricanes the magnitude of these!
