This OP is an opinion post (mine).
Everything in life that happens has consequences and benefits attached and now that Trump has won the election and I have mentioned every possible consequence out there, I have to now take a look at the potential benefits
We all know what the Right is looking at as benefits and that Trump has "promised" to deliver.
1) lower inflation
2) immigrant crisis solved
3) stoppage of wars worldwide
4) changes in the Judicial system to make it more fair
5) revenge on those that have caused us harm
6) more tax breaks
7) better health care
8) get loyalty to the party from those put in new positions
9) deportment of all illegal immigrants
10) no more pets eaten
As you all know, I was/am against Trump and was sad "and scared" of having him in office. Nonetheless, now that he is in office and that nothing can be done to prevent it, I have to turn my attention to what (if any) benefits can come of it.
With the exception of solving the immigration crisis, ending world wars, and no pet eating, I do not see any of the other promises being positives. Nonetheless, the one big benefit that I see can come of Trump winning is that he will either fail to keep his promises (be incompetent and a liar) or if he is able to do them and what I fear will happen, happens, everyone that voted for Trump and for the Republican party will finally see who Trump is.
If he fulfills all his promises, we will all see the results of them and be able to evaluate if they actually help our country. If he fails to fulfill his promises, all of those that voted for him will see and realize what a con artist and liar he is and not believe in him or the Republican party in the future.
Simply stated, this win for Trump is going to finally clear up the conception (or misconception) of who Trump really is.............is he a patriot that wants the best for this country and as he says "I alone can do it" and will do it (be competent)?, or a con artist that only cares about himself and causes untold damage (is incompetent) to this country.
The speculation/assumption on both sides will now end. In a few years, we will ALL know what is real and what is not. My only hope now is that whatever happens does not destroy our country. That I was wrong and that Trump is indeed good for our country (contrary to my beliefs).
