One reason for high gun crime rate...not enough cops...D.C. shows us why...

D.C. isn't the only city without enough police. Chicago is another one where they have spent money on everything else, but when it is time to hire new police...no way. Both Cities have massive gun crime problems....

D.C. police force falls under 3,800 for first time in a decade
Huh.

There are more than 900,000 sworn law enforcement officers now serving in the United States, which is the highest figure ever. About 12 percent of those are female.

Can we add the National Law Enforcement Memorial Fund to the vast list of sources you'll ignore?

And in NY from 2004 to 2012 the number of officers dropped from 40,000 to 35,000. Yet crime dropped virtually the whole time.

Huh.

They still had stop and frisk back then........now they don't. And gun crime is going up there.

The policy was ended in 2011. Yet 2014 they had the lowest number of homicides since 1963. With NY ranked as one of the top 10 safest major cities in the world this year.

Almost half a decade after the end of stop and frisk.

And there are reports they are hiding their numbers.

And what does New York have to say....

Bloody weekend in NYC puts rising murder rate in spotlight

Giacolone, however, says that the decline in stop-and-frisk – a procedure aimed at reducing the number of guns that was deemed unlawful by a state judge not long before de Blasio took office – has increased the likelihood that would-be criminals will carry firearms.

The end of the routine gun checks "emboldens the criminal to carry the gun because they know the cops are not stopping people. They have no fear of being stopped anymore because in their eyes stop-and-frisk is dead," he said.

These scoffers should drive through Rock Creek Park in D.C. at night and then come back here to wonder why the locals don't stop at stop signs. And once we went to the Wax Museum and parked near the entrance. The ticket seller told me I couldn't bring in a camera. I took it back to the car and put it under the front seat. I walked away and then turned around and a thug with tin snips was cutting the pivot on the wing window. There was a cop about 50 feet away directing traffic and I yelled at him and pointed to my car. He looked, shrugged his shoulders and turned back to directing traffic. The thug just casually walked away and I had to replace the window.
