On a hill
So as I was mentioning in my last thread in this forum... going through old computers/servers at the office.
And I found something I completely forgot about... something I thought I had lost forever... my old Napster collection!!!..... holy cow!!
6 GB of MP3s!!.... this is awesome.
Okay...now... how to play them on my system at home... wait... I can play bluetooth to my speakers from the laptop.. not real convenient.
At any rate... this is a good day!!

Six Gig. That doesn't seem like much. I just checked some of my own digital audio recordings and just digitizing one LP (about 40 minutes of music) amounts to about 1.6 GB at 18-20 bit resolution, about the minimum for getting fairly realistic analog sound quality.

We're talking 1990s MP3s here... avg, size is between 3 - 4 Mb.
MP3s are compressed audio files. Decent quality, but not fantastic.
It is 761 files. A helluva lot more than 40 minutes :D

BTW - I had over 2000... still looking to see if I can find more

I still have all of my Napster stuff from 2001 or so.
Good ole daze
Most awesome software ever made :D
One wonders how many $millions were lost in payroll where employees were using company broadband downloading Napster songs.
I would say myself, I spent several 100 hours.
