So, on that basis (among others), when he said he wouldn’t grant a pardon to his son, is it credible? I don’t believe it. I believe he will issue a commutation of any sentence Hunter may get on his gun case, especially if it involves any incarceration.
As to the pending Hunter tax case, since Joe won’t be able to do a commutation of that sentence should Hunter be found guilty (since Joe will be out of office by then), it is impossible to believe that Joe will refrain from issuing his little scumbag son a pre-trial pardon. Joe’s word doesn’t mean anything.
Lots of Presidents issue pardons before they leave office. I have read that Sen. Menendez is looking for a pardon from Hoe as a quid pro Joe for dropping-out of the NJ race.
