Gasoline production could be increased with significant expansion and modernization of refinery capacity. Would not be overnight, but could be effective. Not Drill Baby, Drill, as getting it out of the ground or up from the sea beds, does not seem to be a problem. Refine Baby, Refine.

Consumption has been flat for 20 years. Expanding refining capacity seems to be unnecessary and expensive.

I can't imagine who that would be.

Ir is doable. It didn't take long for EPA suits and approvals to settle for the Willow Project, after Biden took office. Trump (at this point) is in better shape to get his approvals, than Biden was. That is, if the oil industry wants more refinery capacity. There is more to it, than just regulations. Like most problems, gas price and supply is complicated.

if and when Trump eliminates all the gov restrictions and regs the Biden admin slapped onto the oil companies that made it more expensive to produce oil .. then yes .. prices will probably fall .. we could actually see gas prices near the 2 dollar a gallon mark again ..
