The Biden Admin DOJ went after ordinary Americans powerless against the unlimited prosecutorial resources of the federal government. Not because these Americans committed crimes so heinous that federal intervention was required, but because local governments prosecuted cases based on whether or not a crime was committed and how severe.
Here a witness talks about how he was prosecuted more than a year after he peacefully protested outsided an abortion clinic by praying, and talking to police officers.
Meanwhile actual violence against crises pregnancy centers for offering alternatives to abortion are ignored.
Yes, Team Trump will go after those who committed lawfare against the president. I can only hope that Strozk and Page are caught and brought to justice among many, many others. But, they will not bring the full weight of the federal government against people who protest, peacefully or otherwise, against crises pregnancy centers and other pro-life groups. Those prosecutions will be left to local and state authorities, where they belong.
I won't say what Trump is going to do will not be lawfare. But it will be proportional lawfare against legitimate targets. Hopefully that will bring the Dems and Reps of Congress together to pass bi-partisan legislation making it difficult to use the power of the justice system to target political enemies and easier for courts to recognize it and stop it when it happens.
