But Trump didn't begin the coarsening of American political speech...that began with salty old Harry Truman and during LBJ's time in the White House. Lyndon Johnson was "liberal" in his use of the "n-word" and other racial epithets. There was no outrage from leftist groups when he picked up his pet beagle by the ears for photographers. And in the years since, especially the Clinton's repeated "nig*er" and "k*ke" references in private conversations, politicians no longer bother with the language of diplomacy other than in front of the cameras. Nobody on either side of the aisle is bothered in the least by Trump's language...it's simply a ruse to continue their identity politics and effort to sabotage the Trump presidency. Are Haiti and the African countries shitholes? Of course they are. Are the people from there shitheads? Of course not and that's what the President is saying today. And like Wolff's piece of garbage book about the Trump WH, this "story" will be dead and gone by Monday.
