"We make law!" In an epic speech which shouldn't need to be made, in front of a Congress should know what it's powers are, Gowdy reminds the House of that. He also wondered why the President no longer has to follow the laws they pass. Gee I was wondering the same thing:

We’ve finally gotten to the point where Congress had to pass a law to make sure that the laws they pass are enforced.

In a speech that Representative Trey Gowdy really shouldn’t have had to make, he explains angrily to the Congress what its job is, and to Obama what his job is. Members were heard to applaud as he reached the crescendo.

Five Democrats joined Republicans in passing a bill that directs Obama to follow the law – clearing the House by a 233 to 181 vote.

What happened to presidents respecting the sovereignty of one branch enough not to usurp it's power with executive action? Shouldn't it be time that the President be made to enforce the laws Congress passes? Like Obamacare?

Democrats far and wide should fear this man. If he runs for president, he will be the second coming of Ronald Reagan; bar none the most serious minded law abiding congressmen out there today.

Reid will put this bill in his trash can.

And not change them on the fly with NO challenge from the Congress?

What the HELL is wrong with this Congress? Have they been threatened?
I heartily ENDORSE Gowdy. About time someone questioned the lawlessness coming from this administration.

Reid will put this bill in his trash can.

And then come November, his electorate will put him in their trashcan. That's the whole idea.

With the hundreds of others. Reid needs to GO.

The mulatto messiah would never sign it if by some miracle it made it through the senate.

He won't have to. All signs point to there being a Republican house and senate. Meaning a veto could be overridden at any time afterwards. Obama would be rendered irrelevant.
In other words? He goes the way of a two-term Jimmy Carter.

Let them chime in if they must. But I doubt they will. They know Gowdy is right. Any president who can usurp the power of Congress is a dangerous one, no matter what party he belongs to.
