The Liberal Late Night Shows That No One Watches Are on Their Way Out

18 Aug 2024 ~~ By Mike LaChance

Over the last decade, late night shows (with the single exception of Greg Gutfeld) have become nothing more than infomercials for the Democrat party.
It has gotten to the point where almost the only guests on the Late Show with Stephen Colbert are Democrat politicians and hosts from CNN or MSNBC.
Millions of Americans have been turned off and have tuned out. As a result, many of these shows are going to be phased out eventually.

Personally, I don't give a fig.. I stopped watching these shows when they became political...
Broadcasting Kimmel, Maher, Colbert, Corden's political fellatio on Obama since 2008, is the far more perverse America-obliterating equivalent of watching Deep Throat every night for 52 years.

Yes they have, I've never watched them (as a center Liberal, or at least I think I am) and they're often pretty rubbish. Much like Newsroom (is that what it was called, some Netflix show about a liberal newsroom with some guy who was the main character who was sometimes right wing about things) was, it gets tiring.

I want truth, not Democratic lies, or Republican lies.

I don't get why liberals would want packaged nonsense, but I get the feeling that liberals and conservatives, for the most part, aren't much different. They create their fantasy world and they live in.

Some people don't, maybe some conservatives don't, I haven't found many, if any, but then I haven't found many liberals like that either.

People are already bombarded with stupid ideological rubbish everywhere; why tune in to watch more late at night?Neurotic freaks all think they're the Center Of The Universe and the planet craves their thoughts and sniveling 24/7. Halfwits with high self-esteem, what the education system currently insists on producing.

I call it democrats sucking each other dicks to make themselves all feel better about their selves.

I couldn't tell you, but that sounds about right. The very few times I've caught a few seconds by accident, I was appalled by the venality and ardent, raw propaganda. Purely one-sided. This was not entertainment.

Millions of Americans have been turned off and have tuned out.
I rarely watched Leno, but he was sort of OK. Same thing even less with Letterman. America was GLUED to late night with Carson because Carson was genuinely funny and really ENTERTAINED. One TV channel even still to this day runs repeats of his 30+ year old shows (and they are still good!).

In an interview this week, Jimmy Kimmel conceded that the end is nigh for late-night talk shows.
Anything progressive never lasts nor works out because it is fundamentally f-cked in the head. I mean, the current shows actually insult and make fun of over half of their audience and 85% of the country. There is absolutely nothing there. I can't tell you how many years since I even saw an interesting guest on one of their shows (I guess Trump was the last one). When I do see a guest, it is some young, preppy, silver-spoon-fed, talentless kid I don't even know who they are.

Imagine them having Trump on now, much less portraying him as hip.

After James Corden departed “The Late Late Show” in 2023
Who the F is that? Never even heard of the bum.

CBS didn’t kick off a dramatic “Late Shift”-style talent search of yesteryear — the network brass replaced it with a comedy game show called “After Midnight.”…
News to me. I don't ever watch CBS. They stink.

Late night is now squarely aimed at 50-and-up MSNBC viewers
Who watches that MSNBC crap?

Johnny Carson did a show that was for all Americans.
Johnny Carson was funny, original, very entertaining, and fun because politics never even entered the picture. America just came together for 90 minutes and laughed, cried and enjoyed.

Talks shows turned into just an infomercial for the network's crappy movies and shows, promotional rubbish. Carson had guests from all over the entertainment industry regardless of networks, and threw in non industry guests as well. I just did some binge watching if Rickle's, Hackett's, Conway's, and Dangerfield's appearances on Carson, and they're still hilarious.

Wait..............people still watch TV?

The best that the "big three" can muster is a 2% - 4% share on their own....10.5% between all three. Dismal.

Meanwhile on FOX.

In first quarter 2024 ratings, Gutfeld! made history as the highest-rated program among viewers 25-54, the key demographic of younger viewers most valued by advertisers—the first time the show has landed in first place in the key demo.

You are aware that all shows come to an end. ?

Yeah, right, that scans.

In any case, they're the only political commentary worth watching.

The Daily Show is the best at it.

Well, if you like to be told what you want to hear, then they are "worth watching". I like to hear what's real, not one side's view of things.

In Conan O'Brien's episode of Inside the Actors Studio, he said being a late night show host is like discovering a new land, but with less to discover for each new host. After Carson, Leno, etc. discovered entire continents, he discovered Newfoundland.
