Resistance in the White House: Holding the Line Against Trump's Base Instincts

The really bad part is, the same thing would be done to any republican president. As democrats so often said, Bush was going to be the last Republican president. And even Bush was not considered to be a legitimately elected president.

The really bad part is, the same thing would be done to any republican president.
Of course, this is also desperate nonsense. No, not just "any" republican presidential would see his own, hand picked staff defy him in these ways. In fact, that desperate comment was embarrassing to read

Right, and we are 2 months ahead of the elections now. So, if multiple polls showing Clinton 15 points up a week out are not valid, the current polls 2 months out are meaningless.

Hey! You're only off by TEN FUCKING POINTS!

By right wing standards that's pretty good huh?

Presidential poll: Hillary Clinton leads by 5 heading in to final two weeks - CNNPolitics

She had a FIVE point lead two weeks out and it shrank to 2 points by the election because of the Comey letter.

She won the popular vote by that 2 points

I don't think I was off by 10 Fucking points. Neither did these major polling outfits.

Hillary Clinton has widened her lead over Donald Trump, polling 14 percentage points ahead nationally, according to a new Associated Press-GfK poll, which comes 12 days before the presidential election.

EAST LANSING, MI -- A survey from Michigan State University's Institute for Public Policy and Social Research suggests Democrat Hillary Clinton has a wide lead over Republican Donald Trump among Michigan's likely voters.

The quarterly State of the State Survey conducted by the institute tracked voters from Sept. 1 to Oct. 30 and found that among likely voters in Michigan, 52 percent said they would vote for Clinton and 32 percent said they would vote for Trump.

Poll: Clinton leads by 12 points

Hillary Clinton has opened up a 12-point advantage over Donald Trump following their final debate last week and has reached the critical 50-percent mark, according to a new poll released Sunday.

Clinton Vaults to a Double-Digit Lead

All told, Clinton leads Trump by 12 percentage points among likely voters, 50 to 38 percent, in the national survey, her highest support and his lowest to date in ABC News and ABC News/Washington Post polls. Gary Johnson has 5 percent support, Jill Stein 2 percent.

Didn't see any "15s" in there. Also, it is smarter to look at aggregates of polls than single polls.

In an Op-Ed in the New York Times a high-level insider in the Trump White House explains the danger Trump poses to our republic and the attempts of a few patriots to how Trump's baser instincts in check:

From the Op-Ed:

To be clear, ours is not the popular “resistance” of the left. We want the administration to succeed and think that many of its policies have already made America safer and more prosperous.

But we believe our first duty is to this country, and the president continues to act in a manner that is detrimental to the health of our republic.

That is why many Trump appointees have vowed to do what we can to preserve our democratic institutions while thwarting Mr. Trump’s more misguided impulses until he is out of office......

From the White House to executive branch departments and agencies, senior officials will privately admit their daily disbelief at the commander in chief’s comments and actions. Most are working to insulate their operations from his whims.......

There is a quiet resistance within the administration of people choosing to put country first. But the real difference will be made by everyday citizens rising above politics, reaching across the aisle and resolving to shed the labels in favor of a single one: Americans.

Thank heaven there are still patriots who put country before loyalty to the Orange menace.

God Speed to them.

If true, it’s just another idiotic neo-con. He complains about his trade policies, which have been on point against the globalist Agenda. The rest of it is just nonsense you hear from any idiotic liberal. Hopefully the traitor will be found so he can be hanged out to dry for the coward he is. Why can’t these deep state moles be upfront and honest? Oh yea, because they are cowards.

It was a little over a year ago, that Trump met in the Oval office with the Russians. Trump kicked out American media & let Russian media in. There were only 3 other Americans in that room with them. They were H.R. McMaster, National Security adviser, Dina Powell, Deputy National Security adviser, & Rex Tillerson, Secretary of State. So which one of these 3 leaked to the Washington Post, that Trump had given classified information to the Russians, that had not gone through the process of being declassified? These 3 top cabinet officials are now long gone from the Trump administration.

This was Trump showing Vladimir Putin what he could get away with as POTUS. It was no beginner mistake.

In fact, US intelligence agents had warned Isreali Intelligence a few months before to not give Trump classified information, citing he is compromised by the Russians.
The source of the intel Trump shared with Russia reportedly was warned months ago not to give it to him

I think there is an 80% chance that this NYT oped came directly from General John Kelly, Trump's chief of staff. He has been openly embarrassed by Trump's comments on numerous occasions. He was installed by Republicans to replace Reince Preibus, who couldn't handle Trump.

These people swore an oath to this country (not Trump) to defend and protect against foreign and domestic enemies. While in front of the public they will swear alligiance to the red hat ass clown, behind closed doors it's quite a different scenario. It's very possible they considerTrump to be the enemy, which is why we get so many leaks. They are the last defense. It's also the reason this administration has a turnover rate that beats Der Weinersnitzel.

Hey dumbass it’s the President’s job to meet with foreign officials, and he has the capacity to share whatever classified information he wants with them.

No dumbass the President DOES NOT have the authority to share classified information with foreign adversary's. There is a process called declassification, that goes through the state department, the CIA and other foreign ally intelligence agencies we share intelligence with. This (in order to protect lives of those that are in very dangerous places around the world that gather intelligence to keep them safe.)

Which is exactly why H.R. McMaster, National Security adviser, or Dina Powell, Deputy National Security adviser, or Rex Tillerson, Secretary of State, leaked to the Washiington Post that Trump had given the Russians classified information, in order to WARN Isreali intelligence to watch their backs.

This congonitvely dissonant, embarrassing response by the Trump dead-enders mirrors that of the mentally bereft president:

"This is all fake and made up by the fake news . This administration member should turn himself in immediately for this crime of treasons and sedition!"

Strange times, indeed.
Trump speaks truth to power.

The military follows his orders.
And yet it is being reported that they did not.
As do his diplomats and economic advisers.
And yet it is being reported that they did not.

The Senate stands by him
And yet they recently issued two nearly unanimous, direct rebukes of the president.
and there is going to be no “blue wave” in November.

And yet all the evidence shows probable, large gains by the Democrats in congressional seats.

The evidence indicated Hillary was up by 15 points with less that 2 weeks to go in 2016.
Two weeks out is when undecided voters start making up their minds of who to support at polls. Hillary soundly rejected by them in 2016. No blue wave in 2018.

We will eventually find out who the author of the op-ed is. No doubt. But the New York Times is NOT going to put out a story like that, without knowledge of who it is, guaranteed. They claim it is a high level official--and I imagine it is.

Tomorrow Bob Woodward's book comes out, and it's already on it's 7th printing just to keep up with the demand. If you remember Woodward--he was the reporter at the Washington Post--that brought Richard Nixon down over Watergate--(at a time when NO ONE believed his stories)--and Nixon had an approval rating of 60+%. We didn't learn who deep-throat was until years later.

A good movie to watch to refresh your memory is "All of the President's men."
