Another high-ranking former military official has endorsed Kamala Harris over former president Donald Trump.

Retired U.S. Army general Stanley McChrystal, who served as Joint Special Operations Command under George W. Bush from 2003 to 2008, became the 10th retired top military official to back the vice president, along with hundreds of top national security officials, in an op-ed published by the New York Times.

"Ms. Harris has the strength, the temperament and, importantly, the values to serve as commander in chief," McChrystal added. "When she sits down with world leaders like President Volodymyr Zelensky of Ukraine, representing the United States on the global stage, I have no doubt that she is working in our national interest, not her own."
