Our students choose not to pursue careers in the areas of STEM.Our educational system is pretty bad, particularly in the areas of STEM. Maybe if we would stop worrying about all the fluff, woke stuff, we could catch back up. It will also help to reward students based on merit, instead of identity politics. In the short term, we do likely need to bring in educated professionals from other countries that are far more pragmatic in their approach to education. Keep in mind that the US requires more highly educated people than many other countries because we have the most successful, high tech companies in the world.

Trump manufacturing jobs beat Biden's part time Uber gigs everytime.
