The democrat party creates over 95% of our gun crime by releasing violent gun offenders over and over again through democrat party judges and prosecutors in democrat party controlled cities....

Now, through democrat party policies on how much you can steal before you are committing a felony, the democrat party has created a new business model.....go into a store, steal under 900 dollars in goods.....simply walk out....go to another store, repeat....then sell those stolen items

Democrats.....why on earth do people vote for this crime supporting, racist, anti-semitic, anti-asian, violent party..........

This “anything goes” mentality has led to an amazing epidemic of shoplifting. It’s amazing because it’s unheard of anywhere else — even in California — and because it’s become organized.

Thieves enter stores, take whatever they want, and walk out. Store security guards no longer even bother to pursue offenders out of fear that the encounter will become violent. They take as much as the legal limit on retail theft allows. And then they go to another store and do the same thing.

The thieves sell their shoplifted goods in the open in little sidewalk markets.

“Half of Walgreens was on the sidewalk. I’m not kidding,” Ahsha Safaí, a member of the board of supervisors said. “I was blown away. I’ve never seen anything like it in this city.”

According to the San Francisco Chronicle, no fewer than 17 Walgreens Drug Stores have closed in the last 5 years.

Theft in Walgreens’ San Francisco stores is four times the average for stores elsewhere in the country, and the chain spends 35 times more on security guards in the city than elsewhere, Cunningham said.
At CVS, 42% of losses in the Bay Area came from 12 stores in San Francisco, which are only 8% of the market share, said Brendan Dugan, director of organized retail crime and corporate investigations at the hearing.
So why not confront the criminals?

CVS and Walgreens said they train employees to be engaged and visible to prevent theft, but to not confront thieves directly when it could turn violent. CVS security guards in San Francisco have been regularly assaulted, especially at the Seventh and Market streets location which is now closed, Dugan said. Some businesses instead hire costly off-duty police officers.
Although the majority of CVS shoplifting incidents in the city are by opportunists, Dugan said, professional crime accounts for 85% of the company’s dollar losses.
The problem began in 2014 when Californians approved Proposition 47 that dramatically lowered the fines for shoplifting. But it hasn’t reached epidemic proportions anywhere else in the state except San Fransisco.

A statement from Safeway read at Thursday’s hearing blamed Prop. 47, which lowered penalties for thefts under $950, for “dramatic increases” in shoplifting losses. Safaí said he was proud of Prop. 47 and supported criminal justice reform and rehabilitation, but also urged prosecution for organized crime and more community ambassadors to prevent opportunistic shoplifting.
Why didn’t anyone else think of hiring “community ambassadors” to stop shoplifting? Brilliant.

Mr. Safai may be ignorant of the solution but he knows the reason for the spike in shoplifting. “If there are no consequences for their actions, then you invite the behavior. Over and over,” he said. So the solution is to remove consequences and invite lawbreaking?

Precisely why many chains such as walgreens are leaving.

As a result making it harder for sick end elderly people to get needed medication

Then Asians move in to start small corner stores, and democrats then target them for violence.....

Interesting, CAUSE (idiotic ordances) meet EFFECT (untenable business conditions).

Next step, retail outlets in the city begin closing because the cost of doing business exceeds potential ROI, why would anyone want to continue doing business under those conditions especially given that every indication points to things getting worse?

The people of the Bay Area need to pull there heads out of their rears before the situation becomes too dire to recover from, Else they’re going to end up with yet another blight zone where the only retail happens on the back of a delivery truck.

Coming to a neighborhood near you via facebook .. The segment of population who cares nothing for their fellow man is growing.

I don't think it is peculiar to California. I live in Virginia. The neighborhood next to mine that I shortcut through most of the time has this one house that has regular "yard sales" with tables of detergents, cleaning supplies and the like. Surely they just happen to have several extra jugs of Tide every couple weeks they no longer need.

Walgreens already closed 17 stores in the city because of this law.....

The thieves themselves will soon be targeted by "super thieves" who specialize in waiting for these dopes when they come out of the store with a bag full of loot. This is inevitable. What will they do then? Call the cops and report a theft? We can safely apply the laws of the jungle here to the democrat construct.

Walgreens has closed 10 stores in San Francisco due to rampant shoplifting and violence. Keep in mind, though, this is exactly what the DemoKKKrats who run that shithole want. They LOVE it.

He's correct....all that is needed for a link is third grade math. For that reason alone I am not surprised that this escapes you. Google it for yourself under recidivism. Most of the arrests made in gun crimes are former offenders. This is not brain surgery for an average intelligence that is. If I told you 2+2 is equal to four....will you need a link to prove it? In your case I think maybe yes.

Nope, because believe it or not a lot of them work in crews, of 3-6 others. More than once I moved in to stop somebody, and suddenly had multiple others jump in and attack me. Even pulling knives and guns sometimes.

Here is one crew I caught, that work out of Oakland. They rent a van, and travel 1 or 2 freeways hitting multiple stores stealing Red Bull. They had been doing that since at least 2014, and always follow the same pattern. One guy (the "Booster") goes inside and fills up a shopping cart of product, then leaves. The rest are waiting outside to help unload it and take off. We were lucky, in that there were no parking spots near the front, and we grabbed him as soon as he exited the store, and in under a minute we had him cuffed an in our office.

VACAVILLE, Calif. (KCRA) —
Four men and a juvenile were arrested in Vacaville for allegedly stealing about $4,700 worth of Red Bull energy drinks, police said.

The incident happened Saturday evening when witnesses spotted the group at a local grocery store, wheeling out a cart full of the energy drink and loaded the product into a rented U-Haul van, officials said.

The group sped out of the parking lot, running past a stop sign and a red light, police said. A Vacaville officer spotted the van on westbound Interstate 80 and pull the suspects over, taking them into custody.

The following four men were booked into the Solano County Jail:

  • Ronnie Yarbrough, 30, of Oakland, was arrested for burglary, possession of stolen property, conspiracy, probation violation and driving with a suspended license.
  • Torn Saelee, 19, of Oakland, was arrested for burglary, possession of stolen property and conspiracy.
  • Jafar Neal, 29, of Oakland, was arrested for burglary, possession of stolen property and conspiracy.
  • Jabari Neal, 29, of Oakland, was arrested for burglary, possession of stolen property and conspiracy.
The fifth suspect was booked into juvenile hall, officials said.

We caught them in South Sacramento, which shows how far they would drive to steal. We even had reports of the guy we called the "Asian Red Bull Bandit" as far away as Chico, down to Fresno. But their most common area was the I-80, all the way through Vallejo, Fairfield, Vacaville to Sacramento. Then down the I-5 to Stockton, then the I-580 back to the Bay area. Probably netting around $10k or more by the end of the day. Sold for half cost, they probably each made around $1,000 each time they did it. Sometimes they only did it once a week or so, once they were reported 3 times in a single week.

We even told the cops when we caught them they were wanted in 6 counties for hundreds of thefts, but they just gave him a ticket and sent him on his way. On the way back to Oakland, they hit 2 more stores.

One of five Oakland residents arrested for allegedly stealing nearly $5,000 worth of Red Bull energy drinks from various stores, including a Vacaville grocery store earlier this year, appeared Monday in Solano Superior Court before a judge.

Torn Meng Saelee, 20, remains in Solano County Jail on grand theft and stolen property charges stemming from the alleged June 7 robbery from a Vacaville Safeway store.

During Monday’s court proceeding, Judge Wendy Getty expressed concern for Saelee’s criminal history spanning across multiple Northern California counties. According to court discussions, the man has outstanding cases in Alameda, Sonoma and San Joaquin counties among others.

And he is still doing it. Torn was again in 2019.

ARREST: Torn Saelee, 22, of Oakland, was stopped in Willits on April 30 at 8:47 p.m. on suspicion of driving while license is suspended/revoked, shoplifting with intent to commit larceny: misdemeanor, petty theft priors merch, false id to police officer, grand theft: money/labor/property and petty theft.

Ukiah is about an hour or so North of San Francisco, on the 101. And he is still active to this day. Generally he will spend some time in jail, pleads guilty and is sentenced to time served, then goes right back to doing it again.

Interesting account from real experience...thanks...

However I submit to you that the loners such as the man we saw in the OP video will become fodder for the super predators who will proliferate based on the availability of the stolen goods.....in other words this activity is bound to increase the violent assaults'/murder rates in any area wherein it is practiced. As for your an full of wise guys .... sounds like a job for an interstate agency.

Blacks rob the stores out of existence than complain because the stores are gone. I have seen this before in a mentally ill killer. He killed his mother then complained that she wouldn't cook or even talk to him. It follows that being black brings with it a psychosis. An incurable, ever worsening psychosis that has no cure or treatment

Huh, looks like the blacks have a business plan!

In Ohio, I used to shop at a Ghetto Family Dollar all the time. I think the problem in California Walgreens is they don't bother to inform the shoppers.

The PA system at Family Dollar has a recording on loop reminding shoppers that shoplifting is against Ohio law.

Of course, in California, it isn't against the law and that's the difference.

Of course, in California, it isn't against the law and that's the difference.

It is, but rarely enforced. Most crimes in that state now are no longer enforced.

Then they wonder why the state is going through a rash of store robberies.

At a Nordstrom in the nearby East Bay city of Walnut Creek, approximately 80 people jumped out of vehicles and swarmed the store flash-mob style Saturday, making away with merchandise and leaving two employees assaulted, the Los Angeles Times reports.

San Francisco people fashion themselves as sophisticated, compassionate and intelligent. Their political representatives prove that they're far from that. Confused, spoiled and idiotic more aptly describes them.
