Satan an Angel?

In the kingdom of heaven, Satan is not the sovereign; God is. Satan was cast out two thousand years ago (Jn 12:31).

Believers are not under condemnation. We read in Romans that those in Christ are spared condemnation. They are not sinners. They are not dead. They may yet sin, as we read in 1 John; that is, the law on their hearts is a law that they can still violate.

But Satan does not have any authority over them.

A careful reading of Revelation 12 reveals who the angels really are.

In this verse we read about the war in heaven that occurred prior to Satan being cast out of heaven into this earth. We see in verse 7 two groups fighting against each other in this war. There is Michael and his angels verses the dragon and his angels. The dragon is identified as the Devil or Satan and we read in verses 8-9 that he is cast out of heaven along with his angels into the earth. Verse 10 tells us that it was by the power of God and his Christ that Satan was cast out of heaven. Also according to verse 10, Satan was known as the "Accuser of our Brethren". Apparently in his fight against Michael and his angels, Satan became an accuser of Michael and his angels and accused them before God day and night. In this verse Michael and his angels are referred to as "our brethren".

The telling verse of who Michael and his angels really are is verse 11. This verse tells us that Michael and his angels eventually overcame Satan and his angels by the blood of the Lamb. In other words they needed the atoning blood of the Lamb to overcome Satan eventually. Verse 11 also tells us that Michael and his angels were subject to death. I now ask you, what beings do you know of that are subject to death and need the atoning blood of Christ to overcome Satan? The answer is all of us that come to this earth and receive a body of flesh and bones. Before coming to this earth, our spirits took part in the war in heaven. We were aligned with Michael and were his angels. All those who aligned with Satan were cast out as spirits into this earth and were denied the opportunity to receive a body of flesh and bones. Everyone who comes to this earth and receives a body of flesh and bones was once valiant in the pre-mortal world of spirits during the great war in heaven. With the help of God we overcame Satan in the pre-mortal world. But here in this mortal earthly world the war continues. God has provided the means of overcoming Satan by the blood of the Lamb (Jesus Christ).

Angels are not a different species than mankind. All angels who minister to this earth will either come to this earth and receive a body or have already come to this earth and received a body. Michael the great archangel came to this earth and was the first man, Adam, also known as The Ancient of Days. Satan himself is referred to as a man in the following verse:
