They were poets and blue-collar workers, professors and students, seamen and journalists, lawyers and painters, Christians and Jews, Blacks and whites. The Brigade was the first fully integrated United States army, and Oliver Law, an African American from Texas, was an early Lincoln commander.

Get your tin hat and get over there, totally different scenario, i actually knew an old boy who had fought in the International Brigade against Franco Nationalist Fascists, he worked in a Lancashire cotton mill and was wounded at the Battle of the Ebro river, Franco overthrough the elected Republican Government with the help of Nazi Germany, Ukraine did the same with the elected Ukrainian Government with the help of the US and it's vassals, there were also some foreign volunteers fighting for Franco, some British who really supported Franco many from the British ruling class, those Lincoln Brigade fighters were on the right side of History foreign mercenaries fighting for Ukraine re on the wrong side of it.

I'm curious what the Dems will say when in a week or so, and Putin hasn't budged on his terms, that Trump re-starts some support to Ukraine and asks Europe for actual hard sanctions on Russia to get them to the negotiating table.

The soviet Union was not overthrown it dissolved itself, and Ukraine in 2014 was a Parliamentary democracy, if you want to change the Government you do it at the Ballot box, not by collaborating with foreign powers to overthrow your own Country and storming Government building with AK 47s.
