If there is one star witness available to Democrats in Trump's second impeachment trial, it is his loyal VP:

His loyalty was rewarded by Trump pressuring him to break the law and assume powers he does not have. Rather than realize a VP lacks the authority to overturn election results, Trump instead called him a traitor and sent a mob after him.

The fact that House Managers investigated the matter and didn't find what Pence knew to be relevant tells me he didn't have any incriminating testimony at all.

It's critical to the prosecution to bring witnesses. They did a great job presenting the evidence against Trump - enough to stir strong emotions in even the GOP Senators.

But, the defense's presentation is going to bore the crap out of everyone - the GOP senators will have calmed down.

The Prosecution needs to bring in a few witnesses to bring the emotional state back up.

They should call:

Mike Pence
Several arrested insurrectionists
Several Capitol Police officers
The Police officer that shot the insurrectionist woman

They should even consider a subpoena to get Trump on the stand!
