Should the NIT (Not Interested Tournament) be cancelled?

I saw a little of the NIT semi-final and the stands were empty! Does anyone other than friends and family watch the NIT? Just cancel it already.

NIT is practically obsolete as more teams just blow it off. Blame the NCAA.

It's a shame that playing more college basketball in the NIT has lost value. But that's the world the NCAA has built.

no way. my FGCU Eagles are in the Atlantic Sun Conference and part of the NIT.

Sports is really milking it with the sub-500 teams in bowl games and the 68 team tournament. There had to be a peak shake out sooner or later.

My understanding is that the NIT was once the king of tournaments. Part of the reason was it was held in New York, the center of media. They then started playing home games to reduce costs. That hampered coverage. There was also the lawsuit, which stated that the NCAA expanded to 64 teams to finally put out the NIT flame.
