Forums normally REQUIRE source links to protect themselves from legal claims of copyright violations.

Personally saw as a blog moderator read legal demands to delete the article despite it meeting the posting rules because the author of her article was angered by the comments made that was effectively destroying her stupid article, she wanted it all gone to save face.

  • Copyright. Link Each "Copy & Paste" to It's Source. Only paste a small to medium section of the material.
  • Furthermore, when starting a new thread and declaring something as fact in your opening post, you must also link to a source. For example, "Polls say 2/3 of people think x, y, z." You need to link to a source for one of those alleged polls. Telling others to Google it on their own is not acceptable.
