It's a local case that's getting a lot of attention. The guy killed an innocent bystander after his daughter was threatened and home was shot at. I'm very pro gun and believe in the SYG law but this ruling seems ridiculous. Even when threatened you can't just spray bullets.
Should make for good discussion.

Interesting rule and may well be overturned. A person must be accountable for his or her behavior when using a firearm.

Depends.

On whether you're black shooting at a white, a kid running away from an armed stalker, a woman shooting over the head of an abusive husband ... Its not just cut and dried. The law is very clearly not to be applied equally.

In some circumstances, its probably best just to shoot yourself and be done with it.
