Steam has to have the slowest effin servers on the planet.

I have an Internet connection of 1 GB. My game download of Throne and Liberty (free with a redeem code I received from nVidia) is downloading at 300kbs. WTF?

Did you run a speed test to make sure it's not on your end? I haven't used steam in several years, but when I did the download speeds were also okay. Maybe choose a different server location, if possible?

Yeah. I stopped the downlaod and ran a test. 950 MB/s.

See if there's some way to change what download server you're using.
