reality is a bitch, isn't she?

They'll never admit that Fascism is right wing. Never. Ever. No matter what.
No, because it is a white noise argument.
Fascism is a term that has no absolute definition. It really only means a style of authoritarian government where the power usually lies in one person, and one party. People like to say it is "right-wing authoritarian..." because the person that coined the phrase was Mussolini. So therefore it means right wing.
But that is a stupid man's argument.
It can be right or left.
Socialist nations - CLEARLY a leftist ideology, are mostly a single party with a VERY powerful single head of the party.
Is that not fascism? If not - then what is it?

From your own link:

it is necessary to know in depth the life, beliefs, and principles of both its political leaders (such as Benito Mussolini) and its philosophical leaders (such as Giovanni Gentile).

Mussolini was an Italian military man, journalist, and politician who was a member of the Italian Socialist Party for 14 years. In 1910, he was appointed editor of the weekly La Lotta di Classe (The Class Struggle), and the following year he published an essay entitled “The Trentino as seen by a Socialist.” His journalism and political activism led him to prison, but soon after he was released, the Italian Socialist Party—increasingly strong and having achieved an important victory at the Congress of Reggio Emilia—put him in charge of the Milanese newspaper Avanti!

Fascism requires a strong leader calling the shots. What strong man does the left have? On the other hand, Trump is a Strong leader that has been described by those that worked for him as being a fascist.
Everyone I disagree with is a Fascist blah, blah. Whatever you are babbling doesn't change the fact that Fascism is another form of Socialism.

In this case "R" as Trump is a centralized autocratic authority calling all the shots. The citizens have no say. Only Trump has a say.
So that "Democracy" you loons are always screaming about is not working out for you. I'm no fan of Trump's but he did win the Electoral and Popular vote.

Now you are quoting Bannon. You loons would align with the worst people in history if they said anything even slightly discouraging about Trump.

I'm no medical doctor but the issue has to be bipolar disorder.
Nope, it's Trump Derangement Syndrome. Idk, I think maybe there was some kind of mass media brainwashing event that I and others missed by chance, but it got a lot of people, like Mac1958, for instance.

It doesn't change the fact that Fascism means ONE leader calling all the shots.

Trump is calling ALL the shots. Everyone he has picked are Loyalists that were picked exclusively because they will do what Trump TELLS THEM to do, Trump is a Fascist leader...........Democracy be damned

Yeah, the title was not particularly easy for me to type. Anyway, in trying to gain a better personal understanding of the perceptions and opinions of others (yes, many of us do that pretty regularly), I'm watching a 2.5 hour interview with Steve Bannon, recorded in 2019.

Early on (VERY early on), he makes two very important points:

1. I've seen MANY people here, usually of one particular political persuasion, contend that the 2008 Meltdown was not that big a deal. Bannon, formerly of Goldman Sachs, does a good, quick, off-the-cuff job of describing how and why we literally came hours from total economic global catastrophe. Businesses around the country were about to run out of cash. Very few people know this story: At 6:42-9:52

2. Then, the next thing he talks about populism and its danger (although I doubt he meant to put it quite in this way): at 10:26, he says "every financial crisis, I think, in at least modern history, is always followed by some kind of populism. Now, sometime that devolves into fascism..."

This is out of Bannon's own mouth. I'm not making a prediction, I'm just pointing out that we need to proceed with care and thought and intelligence, and not a caveman, break-it-all approach. And that's my concern with this mess. That's one of my primary worries about Trumpism.

And others were worried about Environmental Fascism, and Woke Fascism, and such. That term is used so loosely, it cuts both ways.

It doesn't change the fact that Fascism means ONE leader calling all the shots.

The President elect nominates his cabinet and Congress has to approve them. How the fuck is that fascism ?

The two most fascist Presidents we've had in the 21st century have been Barack Obama and Joe Biden.

The financial crisis from the GW Bush era was followed by the populism of Barack Obama, who Thomas Sowell defines as a fascist.

Lowbrow right wing drivel.

I don't think America first populism causes fascism. I think government intrusion causes fascism. Climate change, speech control, the degeneration of the family and religion, DEI, CRT, defunding police, confiscating guns, globalism, controlling media and education, open border chaos and the welfare state are some of the ways government has attempted to dominate Americans and take their free will away. Democrats love dominating people. That's what fascists do. MAGA

When “populists” cheer for politicians who openly espouse facist ideas and advocate attempts to undermine democracy, and plot coups, the problem isn’t “government intrusion”

At least not yet.

The small fear filled minds that are willing to offer up democracy and their own rights in favor of “alaw and order” (as long as the “law and order” happens to “those people”), are the ones who make facism possible.

Project 2025 is an openly facist manifesto. Which is why Tru,p lied about his connections to it.

That’s not what Trump wants.

He is openly demanding that Congreess recess so he can use a parlimentary trick to name his cabinet without Congressional approval.

His other trick was to leave the Presidential appointment post vacant, so the department wind up being run in caretaker mode by an “active”. Later in his first regieme he hit on the idea of moving his people into “acting”roles, in order to get around having to submit the nominees for Congressional review.

You do need to show data, statistics and facts in order for your WORDS to have any meaning. I know you believe what you believe but so does every other person in the world believe what they believe. Most are actually wrong

Prove your words so they can be believed

I believe most of us remember the economic malaise of the Obama years and the catastrophe of Bidenomics is fresh in our minds. You wouldn't accept any numbers that I put up, right?
