I'm Texan, born and bred. Still live here.
And I've NEVER, EVER, in my entire life living all around the state of Texas, seen ANYBODY make Snowball cookies at Christmas time here.

The one cookie that IS made in abundance here at Christmas time in Texas, is the shortbread cookie with Royal Icing on it. Which is my favorite. I love the crunchy cookie with the crunchy icing on it. YUM!!!!

Just who decides this bull? I checked my state and OK, I see a lot of those kinds of cookies around here, but frankly, I've met very few Christmas cookies I DON'T like.
Probably the least good ones are those hard cake cookies with large sprinkles of colored crystalline sugar on them.

Just bring on the damn cookies.

Gingerbread cookies are the bomb. Screw my fellow Virginians and their thirst for nasty-ass Molasses. That crap tastes like what I imagine the runoff from a car of coal caught in a rain storm would taste like.

Doesn't gingerbread HAVE molasses in it?

I know my granny always put it in there.
