The analogy might be of creating a recipe for the perfect stew. What is the perfect blend of attributes in ones genetic makeup that would be the most reliable and valid in determining ones success, however one measured it as financial wealth, fame and/or achievement?

Intelligence and ambition are important. As is ones character and courage of course.

I can't state with certainty what the perfect elixir might be but I have to believe that in the most free societies, say, as contrary to an authoritarian communist system as possible, that one with a high degree of creativity and "free, fluid thinking" would reach the highest summit most often. Followed perhaps by courage and drive.

What say you?

Wisdom above all is the most important attribute

Anyone Born with a Silver Spoon in His Mouth Has a Birth Defect

Upper-class birth privileges is the main determinant. They are completely undeserved and unearned. All must be abolished.

A free society doesn't guarantee intelligence, talent or creativity, only the option to pursue those ambitions.
Agreed. What G-d given (or developed in all fairness) attributes leads one to excel in a free society?
