I think his own people set him up.

Today will unfold like the debate day did for them: he's clearly not fit for it, but they will do what they can. When he fumbles again, it will be "oh what a shame, who could've seen that coming?". And then he'll withdraw from the campaign.

Or he might withdraw before the conference is even set to happen.

But then--watch out if they won't replace him immediately as president. Because if any terrible attack happens on our nation....we all know.

Meh, what was seen can't be unseen and all the dem attempts at damage control won't change that a fig.

Indeed even when the dems say that they must "move on" and concentrate on Trump all they are doing is putting the spotlight on FJB's infirmities.

Every nuance of FJB's demeanor will be parsed by the voters and slip-ups won't be considered as just another of FJB's "gaffs" that the dems have been gaslighting the public with.
