Here is the message to the world though, if this is how they are going to treat the building of structures in which human lives are at risk, how much attention to detail and quality are they going to apply to mechanical devices you might purchase?

This reputation for poor quality is going to cost China trillions over years.

You mean our "Judeo-Christian spirit and sensibilities" that created health care monopolies for insurance companies, so they could make health care unaffordable in the US?
Not only does US health care cost over twice that of other countries, but the insurance companies force us to prepay, so we have no bargaining power.
They can drop us after we pay in for 50 years, and there is nothing we can about it.

I've quit more than one job over rotten quality control. Also got fired from one when I bitched about it.

Now that I'm a business owner, I have to motivate my employees to do high quality work. I pay them well to do it. My customers appreciate it. They get a quality product and stellar customer support. I want my business to be around tomorrow and next year.
