In February of 2009, Obama signed the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. According to the National Bureau of Economic Research, the period of growth from that policy began in July of 2009 and ended in January of 2020. Obama was responsible for more than 1 decade of consecutive job growth. The economic growth Trump took credit for, and many Americans were too glad to give to him, started 8 years before Trump took office and was in full swing as he presided.
