A Piece Of Space Junk Has Damaged Part Of The International Space Station

A number of years ago, the Chinese launched a missile to hit an orbiting satellite to impress the world with their tracking ability and doing so blew the thing into all kinds of pieces and scattered them all over the place greatly adding to the problems.

 
Everything in "Low orbit" theoretically has a limited lifespan and burns up in the atmosphere.

Regular meteor showers, comets blowing up of natural causes, the Tunguska event, and similar happenings prove that large quantities of "space junk" are natural in origin.
