It isn't hard to understand, but the left still lies about it. There was a big dispute in the 2000 election about Florida. Gore wanted a "hand recount." Several DEM counties including Miami Dade said NO to that request. In the end, the result counted.... but the conspiracy theory lived on.
The USA Today led a media recount of Florida 2000. Hilariously enough they did not get the result they wanted. Their recount showed W gaining votes and increasing the lead.
The accusations were that the "spoiled ballots," those ballots that were not counted, were disproportionately in Dem areas, primarily in black Dem areas. Gore's team assumed such spoiled ballots would be PROPORTIONAL with Party Registration - ie 90% Dem. The USA Today recount documented they were not PROPORTIONAL to Party Registration, but rather OVERWHELMINGLY W ballots, which is why W's lead increased in the USA Today recount.
So who had their ballots tossed???
Earlier this year I published an article in the Journal of Legal Studies analyzing the USA Today data, and it shows that African-American Republicans who voted were 54 to 66 times more likely than the average African American to cast a non-voted ballot
There you have it. First they cried RACISM. It was "Black voters."
Um, yeah, but they were VERY VERY EXTREMELY DISPROPORTIONATELY BLACK REPUBLICAN VOTERS
Black Democrats deliberately tossed Black Republican ballots.
THAT is the INDISPUTABLE TRUTH of FLA 2000.
And it once again proves that the DEMOCRAT PARTY does not believe Blacks have the right to disagree with it....
