I've actually owned it for a few months now, but hadn't had much time to get into it, but recently I haven't been able to put it down. At the moment I own Skyrim, Mario Kart 8, Super Mario Odyssey, Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Super Mario Party, and a couple free to download games. I also subscribed to the Nintendo Switch Online service which offers a large selection of old NES games to play, with more being added weekly. I've spent all day playing games like Double Dragon, Metroid, Ninja Gaiden, and The Legend of Zelda. It's in my opinion one of the best console/portable systems ever made. :)

I'm reminded of a faintly-remembered TV commercial, from a long time ago. 1980s, I think. Possibly even late 1970s. It shows a young man at a job interview, boasting about the high scores he's achieved in various video games; and the interviewer being very unimpressed.

I'm 34 years old. The games I've been playing are about 34 years old. Go back to watching Dick Van Dyke, you geriatric faggot.

When my Xbox 360 finally told me that it would no longer read my porn discs I went and bought a switch...

I have Skyrim and Zelda and will get the new boxing exercise game that came out January 4th...

Someone whose highest purpose in life, at an age in his mid thirties, is to hide in his mommy's basement and play video games, really isn't in a good position to call anyone else a faggot.

Who said it was my highest purpose in life? I said in the OP that I bought the system months ago, but haven't had time to play it until recently. I take comfort in the fact that 10 years from now I'll only be 44, and enjoying video games, and you'll be shitting into a diaper in a nursing home because your family found you to be a burden on society.

I won a switch as a door prize at a gold tournament. I had guys offering to trade big screen TV's for it before I walked out the door with it. I was the original gamer. I have an Atari 800 set up in my office.

The greatest two games in the history of the universe are M.U.L.E and Halo 1.

M.U.L.E. fricken rocked!!!!

I remember 7 or 8 years ago I was playing this game Spore? And when I was talking to one of the alien races there was this Easter egg in the game b/c it was by the same company. . .

When you got to the space stage of the game, this is what you heard in the background. . .

BTW. . . STEAM has ruined PC gaming. What a disaster.

Telling me I have to install a game I have been playing for years? wtf?

I bought the pokemon themed one for my daughter for Christmas.

She is going to freak out!

Love my switch and enjoy it daily. Downloaded Torchlight II and have been playing it.

It is a poor man Arcanum but still keep me occupied...

Nice, haven't played a console in years. I do play games on PC some times.

So you know, we have a skyrim support group if you ever need to stop long enough to stop long enough to eat. That aside, we got our kiddo one. She loves it. So does her mom.

Found it, in this compilation of Commodore commercials from the 1980s.

The commercial that I remember starts at 00:01:31 (one minute, ninety-one seconds) into this video.

In the mean time, real men play with toys bearing such brands as DeWalt or Milwaukee or Klein—toys that a grown “man” who still considers anything from Nintendo to be worth his time will probably never be man enough to properly enjoy.
