Evidently they do the same thing there as they are doing here but here they buy-off elected politicians and instill bureaucrats to rule over and above the people. The rich lordyship land owner lords get federal assistance, bring in foreigners and tell the people to GFT when the people speak up with their votes.

AXE THE LORDS: Petition to ABOLISH House of Lords hits 153,000 signatures amid Brexit fury

MORE than 153,000 people have signed a major online petition calling for a referendum on scrapping the unelected House of Lords

The backlash against the upper chamber comes amid growing anger at Remainer peers' attempts to frustrate the Brexit process.

The petition – which was created on February 17 – has garnered 153,602 signatures from angry Britons, and is continuing to pick up mass support.

The huge support for the petition means the issue will be debated in the House of Parliament on June 18.

It could spell the end of almost 700 years of unelected peers wielding power in Britain.............

The funny thing is that Labour and left wingers have wanted to scrap it for decades, because it's inherently unfair.

However it's not until the Tories get bitten on the ass by the House of Lords, on a rare occasion, that the loud vocal minority of right wingers who will scream and shout that only their way is right, that people actually listen.
