Bullet casings still littered the ground on Friday in Coatepec Harinas, a troubled municipality southwest of Mexico City where 13 police officers on patrol were brutally murdered in an ambush by suspected drug gang members.

Forensic teams and dozens of heavily armed police and military officials gathered at the cordoned off crime scene dotted with checkpoints after one of the worst mass slayings of Mexican law enforcement officials in years.

Obrador needs to get a grip on this like yesterday or he needs to go. Preferably go at this point because he is for all intensive purposes pretty damn useless.

No one has been able to put a dent or damper on the violence. The cartels are well armed and very well trained. There is simply no force capable of fighting them.

He only gets six years. He'll be gone soon and then some other dude gets to fill his pockets for six years and retire to the US.

And that is exactly how that goes down.

I don't think anyone has gone and done something that wasn't half ass.

There is a force that is capable, but the political will is not there--corruption.
Not in Mexico or any south of the border government. There is no force capable of challenging these criminals.

Gov. Abbot could send a Texas Ranger down there.
That's an act of war. What it would take is an all out war between the United States and Mexico.
Nope, it isn't. The US DEA has been working in Mexico with the government for many years. During the Obummer admin, someone in our government outed one of our DEA agents that was working down there resulting in the agent's death at the hands of the Sinaloa cartel.

A relentless swarm that will kill our police officers next....

Here is the reality of Mexico and it is used by China, Iran and Russia to wage a proxy-war against the U.S. by supplying the Cartels with weapons, and the material to produce drugs with, so until the U.S. takes Military action and clean Mexico up this will be an issue that will spill into the U.S. streets killing innocent people!

Russia use Mexico Cartels to launder their money while moving sex slaves from Eastern Europe and supply Mexico cartels with guns and materials for drugs...

China supplies the Cartels with women from Asia for sex slavery and again guns and materials to create drugs with...

Iran along has used Mexico to help fund it terrorism in the Middle East...

Let be clear Mexico Government is easily bought so if the U.S. want to stop all the violence and drugs it need to run a military operation in Mexico and if not then this will never end!

I would like to agree with you. There are times when I think we should just go in there and regime change. In fact, I'm pretty sure that it could be done in a relatively short period of time.

The problem that I have is that there are those that profit from the existing relationship and a regime change would just provide more of the same. They would pay lip service to security. The American public is easily distracted by nice shiny objects (marijuana). We don't have enough people at the top that can operate with integrity.
