I spent a long time being a Democrat. I believe my children would be likely to be Democrats. I had to study many issues to change to Republican. I live with my oldest step sons and he is a Republican. The principles of Democrats differ from Republicans and in stark ways. Democrats believe the Government owns them and Republicans believe we are the owners of Government. Were we to ask millions of Americans what is the difference, the majority have no idea. I had no idea when I was a Democrat. As a Republican now I know.

Being a Republican in 2024 just requires common sense. Being a Democrat in 2024 requires complete abandonment of common sense.

I think of it as we do college professors and their family. We think they are all highly educated and any of the family is as well. We don't stop to think that such thoughts are strange given we have all had various experiences. When I was a Democrat, the beliefs I had then were not subject to telling me I did not have common sense. I thought the working class claims made by democrats were genuine. They sounded good so why object to those? Democrats want to be ruled. Republicans want a government that is not our ruler, but our servant.

I went to 4 colleges in all. First was to be an Engineer. Second was education to weld at Laney College. Third was for business purposes. 4th was needing education on Appraising real property and also real estate broker knowledge and office management and loans origination.

My parents were both conservatives and university professors. Professors aren't all bad.

The problem is the university administrations that permit liberal professors to digress into politics when they're supposed to be teaching math, science, English and history.

It was not my intent to talk as if all professors are the same. They clearly are not. Too many universities do as you say they do.
