The anonymous report turned out to be a false alarm. About 2,000 people were evacuated from “Tower A.".

A drone exploded near the Moskva-City complex, Russian media reported, posting a video of a woman saying that the Moskva-City had been "blown up again." All Moscow airports were closed for departure and arrival on Aug. 18.

Drone attacks have become frequent news in Moscow in the past months. Unidentified drones attacked the same district of the Russian capital on July 30, with a drone colliding with the IQ tower within Moskva-City, resulting in damage to an office of the Russian Ministry of Digital Development situated in the building.

Moscow faced another drone attack overnight on Aug. 1. The same tower within the city's financial district suffered damage again, as reported by the city’s mayor.

There have been several other attacks, one of which briefly set fire to one of the domes of the Kremlin.

Jittery Muscovites imagine they can already hear the sound of Ukrainian boots approaching.

I doubt it.
You've got to remember the vast majority of Russian people have no source of news about the world, just Putin's propaganda, so frequent air raid sirens, evacuations, fires, etc. are likely to make them wonder how far this Ukrainian counteroffensive will go.

Yes - that makes sense!
