Trump desecrates Arlington Cemetary and lies to veterans.

A federal appeals court on Friday ruled against the Trump administration in its transfer of $2.5 billion from military construction projects to build sections of the U.S. border wall with Mexico, ruling it illegally sidestepped Congress, which gets to decide how to use the funds.

HOUSTON — A federal appeals court ruled Friday that a lower court was wrong to bar the Trump administration from taking $3.6 billion from military construction projects for a border wall.

A panel of the 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals said that El Paso County and the nonprofit Border Network for Human Rights did not have the standing to challenge President Donald Trump’s redirecting funds from more than 100 military construction projects, including a $20 million road project at a base located in the city. The appeals court found that neither the county nor the Border Network proved it was directly harmed by Trump’s move. The court reversed a December 2019 ruling by U.S. District Judge David Briones.

So now he wants to pose with "suckers and losers" in his words?

In sum, the claim stemmed from a story by The Atlantic, which relied on anonymous, second-hand reports of Trump's alleged words; there was no independent footage or documented proof to substantiate the in-question comments; and Trump vehemently denies that he once called service members "losers" and "suckers." While it was certainly possible that he said those things, Snopes was unable to independently verify the claim.

A poster above makes a valid point:
Who was the individual that assaulted the Cemetery staffer?
Is the American media protecting Trump and the enablers around him?

Transparency here....would be a good thing.

ps....speaking of 'transparency', is it being alleged that the Trump campaign requested the grieving family to invite Trump come to the cemetery?

Did you notice the UPI logo in the lower right.
It means it was taken by the press (united press international)
Not by Biden, or the Biden campaign, or his staff.
LOL............great point, if it was used, Biden campaign would have had to pay some type of royalty to UPI.

Psst....................wasn't the pic......................... :auiqs.jpg:

I didn't read through the whole entire thread as I just heard Trump speaking about this earlier and it's completely awful. As for the quote above me I just have to respond with but Biden and Harris sure used the border for publicity.
The border is not the same as our fallen soldiers.

Three days ago, the Trump campaign held a campaign event at Arlington National Cemetery. The idea was to lay a wreath honoring the 13 members of the U.S. military who were killed during the evacuation of Kabul in 2021 and film a political ad. They would distribute the video and attack Vice President Harris and President Biden for not “showing up” for their campaign event, which they sought to portray was an established memorial.

From the MAGAt talking points about this event, Josh seems to have it nailed.

When did the political left begin to care about our soldiers, American nationalism and obeying the law?

I expect antifa to show up any minute to defend Trump “desecrating” ANC.

It is strictly for media outlets to take photographs in Arlington Cemetary.

When you put the two cases together, you realize the 5th circuit ruled on the merits of the case. Then the full 5th circuit threw it out on technical grounds (lack of standing) Even though there was harm to the county because a $20 million road construction project was cancelled by the redirection of the funds.

The decision is highly politically suspect, since Trump "packed the court"

The Trumpiest court in America
The United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit is where law goes to die.

Dominated by partisans and ideologues — a dozen of the court’s 17 active judgeships are held by Republican appointees, half of whom are Trump judges

And while the Fifth Circuit is so extreme that its decisions are often reversed even by the Supreme Court’s current, very conservative majority,

That Trump vehemently denies something is almost proof it's true.
Look at all the times Trump has done so, and then irrefutable evidence came out.
Trump claimed he never met Stormy Daniels. But the E. Jean Carroll trial proved that was a lie.
Trump claimed he knew nothing about payments to Stormy Daniels. But the Alvin Bragg trial proved that was a lie.
And of course Trumps claim of 2020 election fraud, was disproved by 60 court cases, which resulted in several of Trumps lawyers unable to practice law due to fraudulent claims.
