I have to mention that some people probably died to get this to work, which could have been a deal-breaker for me trying this myself, but I feel they were not too many and that they will be remembered.

"Peace through Strength" came true today with the US-China Tarriff pause.

Peace through strength? LOL. Donald backed down when China refused to.

Dems are displaying their rainbow flags at half staff today.
Very solemn day for them.
The screaming "sky is falling $7 trillion losses" is gone. All right back, cause it never really went anywhere.
Now the market is basically level to where it was in January, and nearly 8% over this time last year.
We will need to take up a collection for Kleenexes and therapy if the Putin/Zelensky talks ends in a cease fire. Then they will be in full mourning.

Someone just told me that this was not a concession by Beijing.

If so, that sucks.

Hopefully it's a false alarm.
There's still pain in the future and we haven't by any means resolved everything, but I'm pretty sure we went from a negative trading balance to a positive one.

Can anyone please confirm that last sentence about negative to positive trading?

The deal is better for the US than it was before the tariffs started. Good thing for America and may it lead the world.
While I am glad that progress is being made and I support Trump, I don't see much change. Prior to the deal -- US tariffs on China 145%; Chinese tariffs on the US 125%. Net favors the US by 20% not figuring volume. Post deal -- US tariffs on China 30%; Chinese tariffs on US 10%. Net still favors the US by 20% not figuring volume. I will be the first to admit that I am not well versed in international trade, but it doesn't seem to be much different.

It is much better than before,

and I'm pretty sure that under Trump we went from a negative trade balance to a positive one.

That doesn't make the future by any means perfect but I think it is a good omen.

Some people just don't understand bargaining. 145% was an opening position which got China to agree to a 30/10 deal. Trump didn't cave, he WON (again).

DJIA prediction: 45,000 by 6/30; 50,000 by 12/31.

but it's not over. It's just a good omen for the time being.
