I'm not sure this is such a great idea.

There are 40 million Spanish speakers in this country. In California there are 2 million illegals but 5 times as many legal Spanish speaking immigrants from all over the world.

Many of them don't speak fluent English, that's just a reality. So we're going to shut them out from discovering how great our President is?

Is this a DOGE thing? Who's responsible for this? What do you think?

Good.

Speaking English is required to pass the U.S. Citizenship test. There may be a small subset of outliars, people born in the U.S. who never bothered to learn English.

If there are such people, I doubt they would listen to Trump just because his words were translated into Spanish for them.

There are apps and devices now that will translate audio speech in real time, so if they take some initiative, they can hear Voy a hacer América grande otra vez. ¡Enorme y grandioso! Or hear it in whatever language they cling to.

Pretty much every Internet browser now can translate.

Okay with me. It might encourage non-English speaking American citizens to learn a new language.

Do the same amenities exist for other non-English speaking populations?

I am acquainted with a local monastery full of Spanish speaking nuns and they are hungry to learn more English all the time. They're working hard at it and I may soon take the position of being their English teacher.

It would not surprise me to learn it was a DOGE thing.

Translations are never 100% accurate, and if the people doing the translations have a political slant to them, they need to be replaced so everyone gets the same message, and not tilted toward the far left perspective.

For rather straight forward things, like when taxes are due, politics really doesn't have a place.

But when explaining policies, its important to get it right so that foreign language speakers from all over the globe get an accurate report.

Fastest way to motivate non-English speaking people to learn the language that brings us together, is to stop providing them a crutch.
All government services, printed word, etc should be in English only.

Not everyone who needs to access US government documents is necessarily in this country. As far as some services, like voting, you are right.

But if its information on how to get a tourist visa or how to import things into America, having accurate translations is important.

How many visitors a day were looking at the ES version of the WH website in the last year?

This was dumb. Most of the people in other nations are multilingual. If America wants to be competitive we should be too.

Trump to Hispanic Americans: "No mas!!!"

America is stronger when we all speak a common language

And the language must be English

Not our problem.
