Trump to hold Carter funeral during Presidential Inauguration

Washington DC - President Trump announced today plans to hold the Carter funeral during the Trump Presidential Inauguration. When asked if it was in poor taste, President Trump responded, "Look, Jimmy had planned to attend my Inauguration because it was important to him to bring the country closer together, so why disappoint him?. Secondly, democrats will already be wearing black and mourning anyway on January 20th, so why be a Debbie Downer and make them mourn wearing black for two days when we can squeeze it in on just one day? I call that being compassionate. Besides, my DOGE companions assure me we can save millions and millions and millions doing both at the same time since we will already have the needed security. Who knows, maybe it will bring us both closer together. Whatever......................... Besides, what left wing loon is going to take a shot at me with Carter up there? That would be like Soviets taking a shot at the casket of Lenin, yea, not going to happen, making the job of the Secret Service that much easier, so it's a win/win. And as you know from the last assassination attempt in PA, the Secret Service needs all the help they can get. I'm even considering getting sworn in on a slopped roof alongside the casket".

No word yet as to whether the casket will be open during the swearing in of the 47th President of the United States.
