It rates appliances on energy usage/savings, saving people money and cutting pollution, two things that trump and company seem to be opposed to.

He has made false claims about energy saving appliances before, like the claim that low flow toilets take "10 or 15 times to flush" and showerhead make him take a shower for "15 times longer".

Seems to me this would run counter to his stated goal of reducing household energy costs, but contradiction like that don't really seem to bother him.

What a Dick

Doesn’t he care anything about consumers?

Small potatoes. Pres. Trump needs to be pressuring congress to 100% defund the EPA bureaucracy. America's states need to fund their own environmental concerns with the exception of off shore & interstate waterways. The Coasties have the offshore monitoring covered so all that would be needed on the feds part is a SMALL interstate waterway advisory agency. No enforcement capability just advisory capability.

Sure, let states have a bidding war for fewest environmental protections
