All to be taken with a grain of salt, since all wartime information is questionable. Apparently, however, after returning to Syria from Moscow, President Assad spoke to Emirati and Iraqi leaders who pledged to support his efforts to retake the country from US backed militants who've overrun significant portions of Aleppo recently.

"Right upon returning to the country, al-Assad held a phone call with the President of the UAE Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. He stressed Syria’s ongoing commitment to defending its stability and territorial integrity 'in the face of all terrorists and their backers,' during the call, according to the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA).

For his part, the UAE president said the country 'stands with the Syrian state and supports it in combating terrorism, extending its sovereignty, unifying its territories, and achieving stability,' the state-run agency said.

Al-Assad also held phone talks with Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia’ al-Sudani, during which the latter stressed that 'Syria’s security and stability are closely linked to Iraq’s national security.

The US has been one of the main parties seeking to overthrow the Syrian government for...probably over 10 years now. Bolton and Haley were quite clear about wanting Assad removed from power. The militants in Idlib are an offshoot of the FSA which was created by the US to destabilize the country.

So he's back now?.....Talk about a big shit sandwich!

I wonder who will end-up having to take a bite?
It appears so. I think this offensive will turn out to be a flash in that pan. Although last time Turkey was sheltering those militants by occupying Idlib. I'm not sure the Turks will allow those militants to hide there anymore.

Swirling Sandstorms

Despite the geeky Netrix cheering, the first Arab Spring was a pathetic and gutless bust. It only led to ISIS. With that memory, the other Arab states have a point.

By the way, Iraq will take back Kuwait and has a right to that part of Mesopotamia. Rich countries dependent on others to fight for them have no right to exist.

Putin Tame. Ask Me Again and I'll Say the Same.

Cold War nostalgia by the CIA. Russia is an ally of Syria.

Cowboy Georgie, a gutless Chickenhawk traitor whose classmates made money off the M-IC, had a comfy and rosy perch during the first Cold War. The real reason he occupied Afghanistan was to use it as a military outpost against Russia.
