When I was in Korea in the early 80's they had all the left just over from Vietnam on the front line and there was only one effect military route to come south. The Army had Abrams in the ready. The heavy airpower (if i remember correctly) were no even in the country. (Maybe Japan, Gaum and Philippines) The had Warthogs and attack coppers strategically posted in Korea.

As soon as the NK shot something SECONDS LATER off shore missiles would have been FIRED.

I know (or knew it since it probably changed) the battle plan if the north ever came south.

So that means alot of my friends from my age group went to Vietnam, I am from Philly and live in East Tennessee...I just had a friend (black) I grew up with 6 doors away drove 3 hours to come see me...when he went to Atlanta for a visit. He turned into a 18 Marine in Vietnam.

I had a fried I grew up from across the street who was institutionalized by the time he was 12. Vietnam was a playground to him. When he needed a break he would go to LBJ. He us to get field court-martials and they would take his SGT stripes and than give them back a month later. He was a Path Finder attached to the Rangers...so that had something to do with it. since you know so much explain to the people what that means.

I had another friend kill himself over PTSD. His platoon wiped out a village and what got to him was he did nothing but sit there. Didn't join in, did nothing to stop it and he couldn't live with his in action. I knew a guy in graves registration and he told EVERYONE he talked to he was in Vietnam for 50 years. My cousin was a corpsman and he use to tell people he got lucky and missed the war. He told me a story so bad I never repeated it...that is how bad it was. He told it to me when he was in his 60's and he told me he had to let it out.

I have no friends or family where I live. I'm here just to kill time and talk to some people. I'm waiting for the grim reaper to knock on my door. I am not here to get into pissing contest with has beens and drunks. I did my time and was sent where they wanted me and I did I was told.
