"Among the most important fixes to the state’s mail balloting law is one sought by counties. It would allow local election offices to begin processing mail-in ballots before Election Day, something nearly every other state with mail voting allows. That would help them produce results more quickly on election night."

The remedy was never passed by due to the GOP control of the State Senate.

So because of this, we’re likely going to have another multi-day wait to see who won Pennsylvania. Its over a million votes that could be counted before election day that have to be counted concurrently while voting is being tabulated across the state. It’s silly.
