I have always thought this was one of the most embarrassing things about America.

It is horrifying that in America there are pretty girls like Brooke Morton who get pregnant by ugly men at the age of 14.

Perhaps we should use "Genetic Engineering".

And btw pretty women with college educations and careers who believe in science are more attractive.

What would you think of the government starting a program to make the children of teen parents to want to be more ambitious and successful?

Where do I go to find pretty women who want college and careers?

Canada? Europe? Japan?

She got pregnant in high school, doesn't mean she doesn't want to go to college or that she's a bad person. Stuff happens. I wish her the best. This young girl is likely the best example you could possibly find of a 14 year old pregnancy.
She is beautiful, smart, personable and has the social skills of a 30 year old. One definitely wonders how she ended up pregnant. She is smart enough to know better.

Her parents must the worst parents on earth. Not because she got pregnant, but because she got pregnant and they are treating this as if it is a blessing - even financially supporting them both. Fucking morons.

Grandma's Birth Control Pills
A doctor that had been seeing an 80-year-old woman for most of her life finally retired.

At her next checkup. the new doctor told her to bring a list of all the medicines that had been prescribed for her. As the young doctor was looking through these. his eyes grew wide as he realized she had a prescription for birth control pills.

When my daughter turned 13 we put her on birth control, mostly because she was having really bad cramping during periods. But at the same time - as a father I was relieved.
You will never stop teens from having sex, and she did have sex beginning at 15.
This girl obviously WANTED to get pregnant. There is a part of me that almost thinks her mother was okay with it. There is something beneath all of this that us unsettling.
Like I said, a girl this smart and mature WANTING to get pregnant - something is behind that.

In truth, now that you mention it, how do we know that the kid is even the Father?
He could be the stunt double--I mean, wouldn't MOST teen boys love to tap that all night long?
..Or maybe he's just a sap in love.

I do know that I share your unease...while I've known a lot of young girls who are attracted to motherhood...it was always 'someday' when I'm grown.
The mother is very pretty..one can be sure that she's attracted the wrong sort of attention a few times..it's a sad commentary of our society that no girl is totally exempt from...as you say, maybe her parents just failed to protect her and she took her best out~
