On the menu today.
t“pan-seared lemon sole with buttered English asparagus, watercress, white onion emulsions, poached mussels, oyster leaf, and caper burnt butter” for £10.10;
“warm apricot and thyme tart and creamy blue cheese wedge” for £3;
and “whipped black bomber cheese mousse, pine nut and pumpkin seed granola, sour grape gel and apple caviar” for £4.50.

At those prices it is evident where tew £7m subsidy is spent.. If they want to eat like kings they should pay for it. A market price.
In reality Starmer has several options. Charge a market rate. Withdraw the subsidy.. Large cooked lunches are not essential to public service and it would be hugely popular in the country. This is a hangover from victorian times and should be ended.

Let them eat cake. When you idiots on the left stop idolizing people and realize everyone is the same, then there might be a rebellion.

Well perhaps your new government will replace the pan-seered lemon sole with a nice eel pie and mash.

We just booted them out.
And let Starmer in to carry on enjoying -

I bet farage has got his beak in the trough. World class grifter.

Fine just so long as there is a cheese and onion sammich. I like the british version of those better than the american pimento cheese version.
M and S do a Red Leicester and Onion Pickle one that is my current fave.
If you are in Wales remember its Butty Bacon not Bacon Butty

RL cheese is almost impossible to find in these parts so I do it with an aged white cheddar. I do a bread & butter pickles and cheese sandwich from time to time.

Anyway, as for the House of Commons, I wouldn't put money on them making any significant changes to that perk.

Brie, grape, and cranberry is the way forward. I only do bacon butties if I cook the bacon cos I don't like stringy chewy fat.

Suffice to say, the MP's and Lords eat well, different planet in Parliament, at our expense though. Keir will be stuffing his face.
