WASHINGTON — Fear, trepidation and loathing are now, seemingly, America’s top exports. Just ask Senate Republicans.

A day after President Donald Trump slapped a 10% tariff on most every U.S. import from the Rose Garden, some in the GOP are freaking out.

No kidding. Handing the WH to a convicted felon may not have been a good idea. trump is not slowing down. He is full steam ahead in trashing the economy that Biden gave him. He knows he will not run again, cause less of his cult will vote for him next time. He wants all manufacturing to return to the US. Factories are not built over night. Factories are not built in months or hardly in years. It will take generations to bring back manufacturing. The next president will want to get elected. He/she will not advocate keeping trump's insane tariffs in place. So where does trump's plan go.....how about down the drain?

Have a 🍭

The mistake was made over the last 30 years. How the hell do they expect America to remain solvent if you don't have any industries, denied barriers into foreign markets and $36T in debt?

Even Rand Paul has shown himself to be clueless as to what is going on. Surely he can't be THAT dense. The same guy who questions the logic of vaccines doesn't question the logic of 90,000 factories leaving the U.S and the downward pressure that would have on generations of citizens?

I think Paul is suffering mentally after the beating he took from his neighbor. He hasn't been the same since then, IMO.

So what if the past two times when the USA went tariff-crazy, a depression followed.

I'm sure this time it's different.
You weren't outsourced to slave labour, cheating nations. That alone has caused trillions in U.S debt in order to subsidize your nation for which businesses that left would have been doing.

Look, I'm a libertarian and do not like the concept of tariffs but that's only in a level playing field where all countries play by the rules and the builder of the best mouse trap wins. This isn't the game the communists are playing and America is being spied on, poisoned and decimated by some of these nations.

I don't see the shareholders of the companies that shifted operation to China complaining. It's not as if anything but their own cupidity forced them to do so.

The question is, will this put the GOP into another 70 year tail spin into a minority?

Yes, there are problems that need solving. Trashing the economy isn't going to solve them, is it?

All the freaking out seems to be coming from the angry hysterical hypocritical left. What's with the link to the FBI?
