The lib US media is very pro lib Canada and does not tell the public very much about the internal divisions and problems within Canada

I think thats because liberals dominate the politics and they are very anti America and particularly anti Trump

Trump in his typical flamboyant fashion made disparaging remarks about Canada including suggesting that it become our 51st state

Which helped elect a very radical leftist prime minister to replace a pretty far left Justin Trudeau in the last election

But is there another side to the story that our lib news media in the US is not telling us?

Bringing in a Province would be a practical nightmare, with so many preconditions and caveats that it will never happen. I believe it would take a Constitutional Amendment and a similar undertaking on the north side of the border.

Would Canadians give up their "free" healthcare? Their pensions?

It's an interesting thought experiment, but it won't happen. Too many hurdles.

Trump is all about Trump first, and does not really think of the Mac-7s except when he wants to scam them. My opinion, yes, but I think it is accurate.

Canada has two choices. Agree to Trump's demand on tariffs or seek closer ties with China. Better yet, Canada is a concubine of China.

I spend more $ in Canada than I do here in the states. They have forgotten more about managing natural resources than any nation. Let's just ensure we can travel there with no hassle.

Trump is trying to stoke up patriotism in the areas of Canada that are tired of liberalism and would like to secede to become part o the US.

Or, autonomy from greater canada without becoming the 51st state

Ottawa needs the tax money it gets from Alberta

Whereas Alberta sees little advantage to being part of greater canada
